Update: The hubby has reminded me to focus on the things I know for sure. He calms me in a way I can't describe. In a word, I'm terrified. I'm so incredibly anxious about what tomorrow holds and am impatient to know the full extent of what we're dealing with. The past week, I've been … Continue reading The Day Before
I chose strawberry, peach, cherry and lime. And definitely not sugar free.
Whew. And I thought all previous doctor visits were information overload. They pale in comparison to today's meeting with my doc. I took about 6 pages of notes (on a small note pad, but still). I'll try to break it down in a consumable manner. Prior To Surgery More blood work! Check. Post-opp pain med … Continue reading Pre-Op Complete
We are a go for Monday, December 21st at the Irvine Alton/Sand Canyon Kaiser facility. I won't know actual timing until my pre-op appointment. My pre-op will happen Friday, December 18th and I'll have a post-op on Tuesday, December 29th. Finally a bit of certainty in all this crazy chaos.

While this is completely annoying and my ability to wait is wearing thin, my doctor assures me this is the best for my final … Continue reading Well, f*ck.
Haven't heard from surgery yet. Emailed my doctor to see what's up. Update 11:10am: My doctor's office emailed me back. We are working on the surgery schedule and we will let you know as soon as we have a date for you.
I'm still waiting to hear from the surgery scheduling team, but I've been told that next Monday (December 14) is the day. Another conversation with my doctor yesterday has given me as much information as can be provided, but there will be many unknowns until they get in there and see what's going on. The lesion … Continue reading The waiting…
The 2nd week of November I began having sharp pain on the left side of my pelvis. Like any normal person, I ignored it and hoped it would go away. The following week, I noticed my period was 5 days late and this was unusual given my like-clockwork cycle. (My husband and I have been … Continue reading How we got here…
