Well, the surgery is complete and Jessica made it through ok. The doc found that the mass was, in fact cancerous (more specifics from pathology analysis later this week) and a full hysterectomy was performed along with the removal of the gallbladder. Just got a call from the staff with a brief update from the doc, 'everything is going well, but it will be a couple more hours.' The waiting continues... Strange self-playing piano.
Just met the team. Nurses are all super nice and professional. The anesthesiologist has a great sense of humor and just administered the "happy juice". Jess is off to have the big pre-surgery discussion and they will begin shortly thereafter.

Update: The hubby has reminded me to focus on the things I know for sure. He calms me in a way I can't describe. In a word, I'm terrified.
