Round 2
We're all checked in. Kenji will take it from here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away in Downtown San Diego. Saturday was spent exploring Balboa Park with a dinner at Stone Brewery in Liberty Station (highly recommend a visit to this or their other location in Escondido if you've never had the opportunity). Sunday was spent with some friends and Monday was spent sleeping. Ha! … Continue reading Tomorrow
We're trekking around Balboa Park today. Plenty of places for me to sit and rest and people watch. Right now we're enjoying the Japanese Friendship Garden. Reminds us a bit of our time in Japan. There's even a noodle stand, though something tells me it won't be quite the same...
Drove down the road to Irvine regional park and boy am I glad I did. Simply a beautiful day.
One of the hardest parts of surgery recovery (minus the bowel issues, of course) has been the fatigue. My outside scar is healing very well, but I have to remind myself that the inside is still healing too. My doc says it'll be about 3 months before I'm completely recovered from surgery. They will … Continue reading Genetics
Had the 2nd post-op visit with the doc and got more information about what's coming. She's put the request for surgery in, and the head of the department (Dr. Tewari) will book it. I should hear from scheduling this week with final dates, but we're aiming for 2 weeks from now (either Monday or Wednesday). … Continue reading Two Weeks
My bowels continue to be a source of frustration. I have to keep reminding myself that while I look pretty darn okay on the outside, there's a whole lot more healing on the inside. That being said, each day has been different. The newness of being home has worn off, and I'm trying to contend … Continue reading Good Days & Bad Days
And got a whole 'nother round of loving. Thank you.
