Round 2 is going well. Better than Round 1, because there are less unknowns. Nausea pops in and out, but I've got it largely under control. Mostly, I just feel like I've hit a wall. I'm eating what I can but I'm still so full from the IP. Thank goodness for Instant Breakfast. Time for … Continue reading Wiped. Out.
IV bonus
Because I don't have to be horizontal for IV, I get to sit in the cushy chair that includes some perks! Its the little things.
New Round, New Routine
The infusion center handles their procedures a little differently than the hospital. We learned on my Day 8 infusion, they are far more efficient. What took the full day in hospital was done by 2:30pm at the infusion center. This time around, I'll be responsible for taking my own pre-medications, less benadryl. Turns out, benadryl … Continue reading New Round, New Routine
Today’s Buddy
Got a furry friend to keep me company and a human friend on their way later. 🙂
Finding a rhythm
Yesterday was a hard day. I woke up already nauseous and, like pain, once you're behind it, it's tough to get back ahead. A Week Off!
A whole week. More than that! I don't know what to do with myself! And that, my friends, is the issue. *twiddles thumbs* Except, I have the physical energy of a slug. Anyone who has some free time in their day who wants to slug out with me a bit this week, holler at me! … Continue reading A Week Off!
Round 1 Done
Last week was, in a word, exhausting. Fatigue still continues to be one of the main side effects I'm experiencing and my doc says that will compound as the treatments continue. The good news is I seem to tolerate the chemotherapy very well. There was a rough patch last week on the 2nd day after … Continue reading Round 1 Done
Doing better
I rallied yesterday afternoon and have been feeling much better. Nausea is managed and I've got an appetite. Still super fatigued.
Two days after
Feeling a bit more nauseous today with a fair amount of gas pain. Managing as best I can. Thank goodness my bed is gloriously comfortable.
The Day After
So far, I'm feeling good. My doc gave me a host of anti-nausea medication and they seem to be doing their job. I've been able to eat on schedule. I'm SUPER tired, so I'm sticking close to bed today and watching some Netflix. Update 2:05pm - My afternoon meal is telling me something! Chicken noodle … Continue reading The Day After
