Yesterday was a hard day. I woke up already nauseous and, like pain, once you’re behind it, it’s tough to get back ahead. It took most of the morning to get myself in order, but I eventually rallied for a quick visit from my in-laws and a trainer session with one of my girlfriends. I was able to do two 10-minute spins.
It is completely unfair how quickly fitness is lost.
Nausea continues to be an issue, so last night, I set an alarm for 1am to take some anti-nausea meds. It’s what I typically do the first couple of days after chemo and it appears to have totally helped today. I woke up feeling GOOD. Like, actually good.
I still have to manage my energy expenditure, but I’m really happy with how today went. Hopefully, I’ll keep feeling better until next week’s Round 2.
I rode the trainer in your honor today!
