First, the CA-125 result wasn't as dramatic as previous results. But I'm still in a downward trend, with an additional point lost. The doc said results would slow. I'm hoping I get into the teens by the end of treatment, but I'll take anything in the normal range. Some photos from the day:
So... my what's next post seemed to cause a fair amount of confusion. The good news is I seem to tolerate the chemotherapy very well. There was a rough patch last week on the 2nd day after … Continue reading Round 1 Done
We met with the genetics department yesterday to consult on whether I'd be a good candidate for testing. Given my age and that is rather unusual I'd experience this particular disease, they determined I was, and so I gave three vials of blood for them to do a high/moderate risk cancer gene panel. They will … Continue reading Genetics
Speaking of which, we still haven't seen Star Wars. We're planning on going to a cushy theater in the next few weeks if anyone wants to join us. Now, on to the business at hand. The cancer has been defined as a high grade papillary cerous ovarian cancer. There was evidence of cancer in both … Continue reading Phase II: The Force Awakens
